Abstract

The article presents a speech by Albert Einstein, chairman of the Emergency committee of Atomic Scientists, addressed to the members of the Foreign Press Association to the United Nations on November 11, 1947. He reflects on the need of nations to understand the threats posed by atomic bomb to international security. He suggests on peaceful negotiations between countries to eliminate this threat and a mutually satisfactory solution.
