Euler was extremely productive: There are a total of 866 publications to him. A large portion of today's mathematical symbolism goes back to Euler (eg, e, π, i, sum symbol Σ, f (x) as a representation for a function). In 1744 he published a textbook on calculus of variations. Euler can also be regarded as the real founder of the Analysis. In 1748 he published a fundamental work in analysin infinitorum Introductio, in the plays for the first time the notion of a function, the central role. On 3 September 1750 Leonhard Euler read to the Berlin Academy of Sciences is Mémoire where he again declared that Isaac Newton principle force equals mass times acceleration introduced.
